Joint Visits/ Planning

What are joint visits?

A Joint Visit is a type of role assistance in which another team member accompanies the Primary Coach for the purpose of supporting that Primary Coach, the child's care providers, and the child in a timely and effective manner.

The role of the supporting team member includes:

  • Coaching the Primary Coach and caregiver as a means for sharing additional expertise and knowledge

  • Conducting further functional assessment(s)

  • Providing technical support when the Primary Coach feels they need additional ideas, resources, and direct assistance.
