Holiday in the Park Field Trip 2024

On Saturday, December 7th, 7th and 8th grade Kimbrough Choir Students will travel by bus to perform at Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT KIMBROUGH at 11:45 AM. 

Enter through door 22 and sit on the risers.

We will leave from Kimbrough at 12:00 PM and arrive at the park around 1:00 PM. We will sing at 1:30 PM at the stage near the entrance of the park.

Students must wear their navy choir t-shirt with either jeans or school pants and comfortable walking shoes (no crocs or slides). There is a chance of rain, and it will be fairly cold, so bring a jacket or raincoat!

Tickets purchased through the choir program will be handed out to students and chaperones when we get off the bus at Six Flags. If you have a season pass, be sure to bring it!

Students will check in with their assigned chaperone through the Remind app at designated times. Chaperones will alert Ms. Hoitt to any missing students or other issues. Students are to remain in a group or with their parents at all times. No student should EVER be alone during the field trip.

Students will need to bring money for food for the day (around $30). From the Six Flags website: "Six Flags Over Texas accepts card payments only at all locations including restaurants, retail stores, games, ticket windows, and parking toll booths. You can either pay for purchases using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card. Only have cash? You can convert your cash to a prepaid debit card at one of the multiple kiosks located throughout the park and anywhere in the U.S. where Visa is accepted. We highly encourage you to pre-purchase your parking, tickets, and more online before visiting the park."

We will leave the park at 8:30 PM which will put us back at Kimbrough around 9:15 PM. Please communicate with your child and have their ride waiting in the parking lot in the front of the school.

Chaperones need to fill out the online volunteer form located on the MISD website. Chaperones can ride with us on the bus so they do not have to pay for parking. Chaperones may drive their own cars if that is preferred.
