EI UMa
EI UMa is the first cataclysmic variable star studied by the MCARG. It is located in the Ursa Major constellation, with a magnitude ranging between 13.4 and 15.8 in the V band. Using the Observatory here at the college, as well as remote telescopes in New Mexico, we were able to verify a period of around 12.5 min, which corresponds to the suspected spin period of the white dwarf.
