Data Use Guidelines

The Merrimack College Astronomical Research Group strongly supports the open availability of as much scientific data as possible, so that as many members of the scientific community as possible can contribute to our work, and we can help others with theirs. Our policy (which is based on the AAVSO's data use policy):

1. Reference: If you use any of our data as reference material without including the data itself, please acknowledge it with some variation of:

``We acknowledge with thanks the observations from the Merrimack College Astronomical Research Group (MCARG) used in this research.''

2. Direct use: If any of our data is used directly in the text, the preference is that it should be cited as (in whatever specific format is required):

Duston, Christopher L, 2023, Observations from The Merrimack College Astronomical Research Group (MCARG), https://sites.google.com/merrimack.edu/mcarg/

We'd also appreciate a quick email (dustonc AT merrimack.edu) to let us know that our data is being used in your work.
