The Data Import Center is a centralized bulk-data import workspace that enables admins to upload and map CSVs or connector feeds for employees, providers, locations, and enrollments, preview and validate data, and run imports with row-level logging and error handling. Use it to accelerate large-scale onboarding and maintenance tasks, apply reusable templates, leverage smart catalog mapping and non-blocking validation so invalid rows don’t halt imports, and review detailed import logs to correct issues, providing a faster, auditable, and more reliable way to populate and sync operational data across the platform.

FAQs
The Data Import Center is available to Super Admins and Admins. Use it to bulk import or update employees and providers, activate providers for credentialing, and reuse mapping templates for repeated imports.
Upload a comma-separated CSV (CSV UTF-8 recommended for special characters). Files must be under 10 MB. If your spreadsheet is in Excel, save it as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) to preserve accented characters.
You must map Email (username), First Name, Last Name, and Employee Status. The system uses Email as the unique identifier: existing emails update records; new emails create new records.
The mapping dropdowns are categorized (Categories/Subcategories), support search-as-you-type, and remove already-mapped MedTrainer fields to prevent duplicates, making it faster and less error-prone to map large files.
After mapping fields, click Save As to store the mapping as a company-level template. Templates save header and import settings and can be reused from the Mapping Template dropdown to speed future imports. You can update, replace, or delete templates as needed. (Templates require all mandatory fields mapped.)
Open the file’s Log Detail Page from the Imports table to see row-by-row outcomes and status counters. Filter for failed rows, Download Logs (XLS) of the failed records, correct the original CSV using the log details (e.g., invalid email), then re-upload the corrected file. The import runs in the background and shows statuses such as In Progress, Finished, Finished with Errors, or Failed.
