Physical Science/Applied Physical Science
PHYSICAL SCIENCE introduces students to basics of physics, chemistry and Earth science. This course is divided into two semester topics. The first semester consists of basic physics, including energy, electricity, magnetism, machines, and Newton’s 3 Laws. The second semester includes basic chemistry, including the atomic model, matter, periodic table, and chemical equations along with units on earth and space science. Throughout the course, problem solving and scientific investigation skills will be stressed. Math skills will also be necessary to perform calculations and solve basic equations.
