The Booster Board do all they can to make sure the entire band and guard programs have everything they need throughout the entire year. Boosters collaborate with staff to make decisions in the best interest of the program.
Section Parents
One parent per section will be responsible for holding the students accountable for fundraising requirements, ensuring all uniform elements are received and maintaned, assisting with the sections needs throughout the season, and must be present at all monthly Booster meetings to make sure that all relevant communication is relayed to the students.
Chaperones/Event Coordinators (EC)
The band and guard whether they are at home or away do require chaperones and coordinators for specific events. These are including but not limited to:
Swing Dance (Jamie Gann-EC)
Golf Tournament (Tyler Distel-EC)
Mattress Fundraiser (Ginn Lasley-EC)
Tag Day (EC-vacant, Chaperones needed)
Yard Sale (EC-vacant, Chaperones needed)
Colorado West (Chaperones needed)
CMU Clinic (Chaperones needed)
Regionals (Chaperones needed)
State Championships (Chaperones needed)
Merchandise (EC-vacant)
Do-Dad's
The programs trailer drivers, builders of props, painting and maintaining of all equipment as necessary, trailer loading and unloading, and 'jack of all trades'. This group is absolutely not limited to just Dad's, we have Mom's who volunteer for these things as well!
Food Crew
With this large of a group, several volunteers are needed to work directly with the Food Chairs by serving the students at home football games, home shows, away competitions, preparing food and organizing water at competitions. You do not need to be present at all events, however, you must be able to help multiple times throughout the year.
Graphics Design Crew
If you have the ability to volunteer from home and are design savvy, this is for you! Maintaining the calendar and posting updates within the website, creating graphics, event flyers, banners, and advertising announcements.
Pit Crew
The pit crew helps the marching band and winter guard enter and exit the field/gym on competition days (must be available at all competitions and most football games). This is a great way to see the shows up close! If you plan to be at all of the competitions, this is a great volunteer opprotunity for you!
Prop Crew
The prop crew is resposible for loading and unloading trailers (with student help - they will teach you how it is done). You will also assist with pushing props on and off the field/gym as needed. This is a great way to see the shows up close! If you plan to be at all of the competitions, this is a great volunteer opprotunity for you!
Social Media Crew
This is a fun volunteer choice if you enjoy taking photos and videos and posting online! It is a must that we regularly feature our students with updates of everything they are accomplishing. Creating and sharing announcements, the programs accolades, thanking sponsors, and posting all that is happening. Always ensuring that as many students as possible are featured.
Support Crew
If you can donate your time with tasks that can be done entirely from home, this is for you! Assembling Tag Day envelopes, state goodie bags, organizing merchandise orders, and creating decorations for events all fall under this category. All supplies will be given to you within plenty of time, we just need assistance with assembling and organizing!
Uniform Crew
Are you a seamstress or enjoy taking pride in making sure the students always look their best? The Uniform Chairs need more helping hands! From uniform check-out day, to fittings, organizing and distributing items, and last minute touch-ups before the students take the field.
Water Crew
Our students are varsity athletes and they work the hardest. Keeping them constantly hydrated is a MUST. The water crew helps to "water" the students AT BOTH home and away games and competitions. (This is seperate from the chaperones - you are able to travel on your own). There will be specific times that you must be available to water the students; i.e. during warm-ups and immediately after performing.
