Director of Bands
Sheridan Loyd is the Director of Bands at Montrose High School, where she directs the "Pride of Montrose" Marching Band, two concert bands, and two jazz ensembles. During her time in Montrose, the Montrose Band Program was awarded the Exemplary Band Award for the first time. The Montrose High School Advanced Jazz Ensemble performed at the Colorado Music Educators Association State Convention in 2023, the first time a Montrose High School instrumental ensemble has ever been selected. In 2023, twenty jazz students were selected for the CBA Western Slope Honor Jazz Bands, the largest representation from any western slope school. The MHS Advanced Jazz Ensemble was selected as the top jazz band in the 2023 Colorado West Jazz Festival and the 2024 and 2022 Fort Lewis Jazz Festivals. The Pride of Montrose Marching Band has been selected as Best School Sports Team by the Montrose Press Best of the Valley Reader's Choice Awards from 2021-2023.
Prior to coming to Montrose, Mrs. Loyd was the Director of Bands for the Estes Park School District in Estes Park, Colorado, where she taught the 5th-12th grade bands, jazz band, and marching band. Mrs. Loyd was honored to lead the Estes Park Marching Band to win the Colorado Bandmasters Association 1A State Marching Band Competition in 2015, 2016, and 2017. She was selected as the Estes Park School District Teacher of the Year in 2018.
Mrs. Loyd has a Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from Miami University. She currently serves as the Colorado State Chair for the National Band Association and is on the state board for the Colorado Bandmasters Association.

Assistant Marching Band Director
Cameron Beauchamp is the Band Director at Centennial Middle School (Montrose, CO) and the Assistant Director of the Pride of Montrose Marching Band. Cameron grew up in Arvada, CO and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2021 with a Bachelors of Music Education. Under his direction, the Centennial Middle School Jazz Band received a Superior ranking at the Colorado West Music Invitational in 2022. Centennial Middle School also has consistently sent multiple students to the Western Slope Honor Jazz Bands. Alongside his commitments to Centennial, Cameron assists in the direction of the Pride of Montrose Marching Band, who recently took 10th place at the CBA State Semi-Finals competition. In his free time, Cameron loves to travel, hike, and explore the gorgeous sceneries of Western Colorado.
Color Guard Director
Natasha Zepeda has been teaching with the MHS Colorguard Program since 2018. After graduating with honors from Montrose High School, Natasha attended the University of Northern Colorado and taught Color Guard at Greeley Central High School. After teaching in Greeley, Natasha decided to return to Montrose, and to the program that she had spun with and loved since 2013.
Natasha loves spending time outdoors and has a passion for helping others.
