SCHOOL RE-ENGAGEMENT RESOURCES

Lead4Life Re-Engagement Program - Supports youth between the ages of 16-24 who have not graduated from high school to get connected to education and employment opportunities (GED, High School Diploma, Employment/Training, Trade School, Apprenticeship Program, Internships...) Recovery and Academic Program (RAP) - RAP provides Montgomery County youth with free, comprehensive services to address their academic needs, as well as their substance use struggles.

MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES

Montgomery County Crisis Center: 240-777-4000 (24 hours)

Walk-In Service: 1301 Piccard Drive Rockville, MD (24 hours)

    • Provides immediate responses to crisis situations for all residents of Montgomery County

ChildLink Mental Health: 240-777-4769

    • ChildLink is an information and referral service for families of young children. Callers may receive simple referrals, consultation on child development or parents issues, or linkages and follow up for families presenting more complex or at-risk situations which require early intervention services. ChildLink also assists families and providers in accessing mental health consultations on-site in child care programs.

    • Provides confidential and anonymous support by trained counselors 24 hours a day

Screening Assessments Services for Children and Adolescents (SASCA): 240-777-1430

    • Offers confidential screenings for substance abuse and referrals are made for treatment

    • Provides confidential and anonymous support by trained counselors 24 hours a day

FAMILY SUPPORT RESOURCES

    • Includes resources for supporting your student during COVID-19.

Child Welfare Services: 240-777-4417 (24 hours)

    • This program investigates report of suspected child abuse and neglect to ensure the safety of children and help families stay together. This hotline responds to calls about children living in Montgomery County.

    • Offers counseling and family treatment from a licensed mental health professional in the client's home or in a community setting
