World Languages Program

¡Hola! Bon jour! The goal of Montgomery County Public Schools’ world language program is to enable students to become active members of the 21st century global community through the study of other languages and cultures.   The world language program emphasizes language that is used in meaningful, real-life situations. Students also develop sensitivity and insight into the cultural and linguistic heritage of other groups, understand their influence on American culture, and become prepared to participate in a society characterized by linguistic and cultural diversity.

Rosa Parks Middle School currently offers two languages, French and Spanish.  Students will receive high school credit upon successful completion of the course and upon passing the county exams.

More information including vocabulary lists and a curriculum overview can be found at:  http://montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/languages/languagesoffered.aspx
