YEar 7
COURSE STRUCTURE
The Year 7 course is designed to provide a smooth transition from primary to secondary school, and help students become active members of the McKinnon community. To complement their academic subjects (see below), the Year 7 program includes Peer Support, Induction and Immersion courses, as well as Year 7 camp to foster key skills and knowledge.
English (or EAL) - 5 periods per week
Mathematics (or Mathematics - ELMS) - 5 periods per week
Science - 3 periods per week
Music - 2 periods per week
Physical Education - 2 periods per week
Sport - 2 periods per week
Information & Communications Technology - 2 periods per week
Language (French, German or Spanish) - 3 periods per week
History - 3 periods per week (one semester only)
Geography - 3 periods per week (one semester only)
Art - 3 periods per week (one semester only)
Food Technology - 3 periods per week (one semester only)
