MCCN will use a student’s permanent address on file to determine their physical location for reporting and regulatory purposes unless a student has declared a different mailing address. If a student has declared a mailing address separate from their permanent address, MCCN will use the mailing address to determine physical location for reporting and regulatory purposes. Students should report in a timely manner any change of address, telephone number(s), or personal email address to the Office of Records and Registration (registrar@mccn.edu). Name changes require additional documentation. Accurate contact information will ensure that the College can reach students as needed.
Accurate reporting of the state you are physically located in while attending/engaging with MCCN either in person, online, or in an practical experience is necessary to ensure appropriate administration of financial aid, ability to obtain licensure upon completion of your educational program, authorization for online education, experiential learning placements, etc.
If the student is in an educational program that leads to certification or professional licensure, they should review the specific authorization and professional licensure websites for their location. Students in a program leading to professional licensure shall consult with their advisor or Faculty Program Leader at least 60 days prior to any relocation and/or experiential learning experience outside the state of Ohio whether in person or online.
Federal regulations mandate that MCCN provides guidance to distance education students who either initially apply or declare into a program that leads to professional licensure where such licensure is required to seek employment to their specific location. Student movement to a state in which MCCN is not authorized to offer a program may require student withdrawal from the program.
