Important Vocabulary:
Isolationist - was someone who wanted to remain out of foreign affairs, and make sure the United States does not get drawn into any new conflicts.
Embargo - an official ban on trade or other commercial activity with a particular country.
Cash and Carry - allowed the United States to sell to the Allies so long as they paid in cash and transported the goods on their own ships
Lend Lease Act - allowed the United States to sent tanks, planes, ammunition, guns, and other war materials to Britain and even provided a military escort until they reached Iceland.
Pearl Harbor - Location of the U.S. Naval base which was attacked by the Japanese on December 7th, 1941.
Japanese Internment - forcibly relocated and incarcerated at least 125,284 people of Japanese descent in 75 identified incarceration sites.
