Learning the fundamentals.
Learning how your audience/customer/follower/donor/volunteer interacts with your account.
What is content? We refer to content as any: Photo or Video. People often create photos with text on them to share text content. Example: Popular Quotes.
The following is a demonstration of the basic use of social media - primarily Meta (formerly Facebook) and Instagram (both owned by Meta).
Time needed: 1 hour/week.
Tips for Getting Started - Choose about 10 different accounts to follow. Check on those accounts daily or at least 3 times a week. You learn a lot by observation!
Resources Needed - Your Phone, that's it!
The following demonstrations applies to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube, Pinterest and Linkedin. There are only slight variations between the platforms but all of them require:

Using Highlights. What are they?
Instagram Highlights are a conglomeration of saved Stories that will appear on your Instagram profile page. ...

What are Hashtags?
A hashtag—written with a # symbol—is used to index keywords or topics. Hashtags are a way of categorizing (indexing) Instagram posts and content (reels too) similar to searching in library.
Users on Instagram "follow" certain hashtags to be notified of new content related to that hashtag.
You can also search by hashtag to find content and users for you to follow.
You can find popular hashtags using tools or you can search in Instagram and Facebook. We search and then we use the popular ones according to a strategy.
Hashtags help you get discovered by new users and vice versa.
ABBA HASHTAGS
We have researched the list of hashtags to use by topic.
A geolocation is a place marker that is related to an actual mapping system. You can identify the location of your post (or you) by adding the geolocation tag to your post. Users on Instagram often search by location to find photos and videos related to that location. This is often used for travel purposes but is also a way of narrowing down your search and also finding users within a specific area if you wish to follow them as well.
Tagging is how you reach the followers on other accounts; you gain new followers; your content reaches more people and the right content can go viral
Tags allow social media users to engage an individual, business or any entity with a social profile when they mention them in a post or comment. In Facebook and Instagram, tagging notifies the recipient and hyperlinks to the tagged profile.
The ABBA Instagram "handle" is @avlbba
When people tag us they use the @ symbol and our "handle" name. We then receive a notification within Instagram or Facebook of that tag. We can choose to comment, like, share in stories or repost.
Please note - If you're trying to tag other accounts, the tags may not match.
We often tag other accounts related to ABBA or we tag participants at an event or we tag a business or other nonprofit if they were the ones who hosted or sponsored the content or event.
