Writer: J.M Barrie
Synopsis:
The novel "Peter Pan" tells the story of three children, Wendy, Michael and John, who enter the land of "Neverland" alongside Peter, an eternal child who decided never to grow up to live forever in a world of adventures, ship battles and pirates, fairy tales and stories that often confuse reality with fantasy.
Review:
The illustrations and the edition itself is very beautiful.
I found the story quite cute and easy to read. It tells the story of how Wendy. John and Michael meet Peter Pan and fly with him to Neverland.
There they have all kinds of adventures, meet mermaids, lost children, the famous Tinkerbell and the dreaded Captain Hook.
The story is mainly about childhood, family and the idea of growing up. I liked how it is narrated and how fast everything goes by. It is a recommended classic to have a good time.

Synopsis:
The boy wizard Harry Potter has been casting a spell over young readers and their families ever since 1997. Now the first book in this unmissable series celebrates 25 years in print! The paperback edition of the tale that introduced us to Harry, Ron and Hermione has been updated and dressed in silver to mark the occasion. It's time to take the magical journey of a lifetime.
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!
Review:
I can read this book over and over again. From the very beginning until the end J.K. Rowling has me gripped! There is never a dull moment, whether it's battling with trolls, a three-headed dog, or Harry facing Lord Voldermort. I would definitely recommend this book because it keeps you reading without ever wanting to put the book down. By the end of the book you come to love the characters and you want to read more. You won't be disappointed because the second book in the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is just as great! If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books you are missing out on the best series ever!

Saga: Percy Jackson
Synopsis:
What if one day you discovered that you are actually the son of a Greek god who must fulfill a secret mission? Well, that's what happens to Percy Jackson, who from that moment on is ready to live the most exciting events of his life. Expelled from six schools, Percy suffers from dyslexia and difficulty concentrating, or at least that's the official version. Mocked for inventing fantastic stories, he himself does not believe them until the day the gods of Olympus reveal the truth: Percy is nothing less than a demigod, that is, the son of a god and a mortal. And as such, he has to discover who has stolen Zeus' lightning bolt and thus prevent a war from breaking out among the gods. To accomplish the mission he will have the help of his friends Grover, a young satyr, and Annabeth, daughter of Athena.
Review:
This book for me was awesome! Jam-packed with bits of history, intertextual references to a lot of famous USA landmarks (making it easy to imagine battles) and the light-hearted humour between Percy, Grover and Annabeth. We’ve got some mythological creatures tossed in there along with food of the Gods that I’ve heard of and now really want to try... I’d say it gives kids the message that believing in yourself, no matter who you are, is vital; after all if you can’t believe in yourself then no one else can.
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is a terrific tale of friendship and heroism! It’s got humour, light history, adventure and action; the best part is that this isn’t the end there’s at least four/five more books to look forward to reading...
