Standard #9: Professional Learning and Ethical Practice
The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner.
I catered my presentation directly to parents (and students) with the main goal of connecting us as an educational community and stating standards for my conduct and ethical practices. When parents feel acknowledged as important contributors to student learning, they take more responsibility and provide more support for students at home. When the teacher and parents/guardians are working together, the student will receive great amounts of positivity, love, and support. My presentation connecting with parents and laying out my ethical and InTasc standards is created to increase parent involvement and set expectations for my professional conduct.
Self-Assessment and Analysis: Self-Reflect on your personal growth and development as a teacher with references to specific, authentic teaching experiences.
This will be added later as I gather more teaching experience. I don't feel like I have enough right now to answer, having only taught a few lessons myself.
**Would it be better for me to just include my entire reflection?**
