In inquiry, year 3 have learnt about how to make pictures move in order to create a stop motion animation of a Stone Age scene of daily life. We have begun our third line of inquiry now, whereby we are thinking about how the change in use of materials from stone to bronze to iron impacted civilisations and now considering what impact it has had on modern day society.
We had a wonderful time when Reverend Nicky and Reverend Vicki came to answer questions about what it means to be a Christian in Britain today. The children's questions were probing and thought-provoking; it was a really engaging time.
We were lucky to be invited to the recorder festival at Leigh Academy Oaks, Maidstone on Wednesday, when five schools came together to play as an ensemble and enjoy a variety of musical enrichments. The children returned with huge smiles on their faces and great excitement about the flutes which were also performed.
