This week has been quite eventful for our students. Year 4 embarked on an educational trip to the British Museum, where they thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Ancient Civilisations. They were great representatives of our school, displaying excellent behaviour throughout the day.
On Wednesday, Jo from the Library visited both Oak Class and Juniper Class. The children relished the opportunity to showcase our library and share their favourite books with her, fostering a love for reading.
I would like to say a big congratulations to some of our Year 3 children who participated in a recorder festival this week. Your performance was reported to be nothing short of excellent, and you should be very proud of your achievements.
Today we all put on something red to support Comic Relief. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to this worthy cause.
Sadly, today we said goodbye to Miss Sime. I'm sure you will join us in wishing her the best of luck for the future and thanking her for her contribution to the school. I'm pleased to share that Mrs Mills, an experienced teaching assistant, will be joining Year 5 from Tuesday 25th March.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Mrs H Penning

All meetings will be held face-to-face in the main hall. You will be chaperoned to the hall and you will have a 10-minute slot for your meeting. There will also be an opportunity to view your child’s learning.
Livestreaming is now a major part of children’s entertainment, evolving from gamers sharing screens into a booming industry with diverse personalities. While watching streamers can be entertaining, it comes with no small number of risks for children, such as misinformation, negative influences, and inappropriate content. With over 2.5 million viewers on Twitch – the current most popular streaming platform – at any one time, this guide highlights the potential dangers associated with watching livestreams and the importance of staying informed.
We’ve created this free guide – also available in podcast format – to provide parents and educators everything they need to know about streamers and how to keep children protected.
