Year 6  Learning Update

Central idea: Conflict shapes society.

Our inquiry aligned perfectly with the 80th anniversary of VE Day. On the day, some of the children were fortunate enough to spend time with some elderly residents from the village, who were children on the actual day back in 1945. They asked some brilliant questions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of listening to a first-hand account.

We are extremely proud of our children and their attitudes and efforts over this week. They have embraced the challenge of a different paper each day, giving it their all and showing determination to do well for themselves. We have felt them become more resilient learners and it has been very special to see different members of staff from around the school congratulate them all on how far they have come as individuals. Well done Year 6!
