Central idea: Families can support the local community.
Throughout our inquiry we have explored different families and what makes them special and unique. Together, we decided that all families:
Mia: We are like a family. We help each other and we care for each other.
This prompted us to think beyond our families and think about our community, Marden. Using Google Earth we looked closely at our community and the businesses within it that help.
Albert: Our school helps the children to learn.
Lily: The library can help you to learn too. We have been there.
Michael: The doctors and nurses keep us healthy.
Willow - Rose: The vet keeps our animals healthy and strong.
Reuben: The dentist helps us to keep our teeth white and strong.
Halle: You can buy food in some shops or you can go to the coffee shop. You have to eat and drink to stay alive.
The children have taken on different career roles through their imaginative play. Badges and uniforms have been created as well as props to enhance their ideas.

We look forward to helping our local community further by singing songs and baking biscuits for the elderly residents of Bramley Court on the 5th June 2025.
