Central idea: Architecture as a form of expression reflects culture and history.
We have made a very exciting start to our inquiry, in which we are going to be exploring architecture. Firstly, we have defined architecture, and also learnt that someone who practices the concept is called an architect. We then learnt about the core values such as, balance, unity, emphasis and movement. Putting all of our new information together, we then used our writing skills to produce an information page.
In maths, we have been learning to compare and order fractions and add and subtract simple fractions. We have been learning to do this by using the lowest common multiple to find a common denominator. The children have also learnt the importance of practising their times tables as often as possible, to help them with finding multiples.
