Central idea: Expression can be influenced by our values.
Year 3 have enjoyed starting off the inquiry by finding out what our own values are, we then looked at different countries in Europe and explored how values in those cultures are similar or different to our own. In science, we have begun exploring forces by testing how surface friction affects the movement of vehicles.
In maths, we have been getting to grips with the written column method for subtraction when using exchange. Children have been working in pairs and using equipment and drawings to support the accuracy of their calculations.
In writing, we have begun to explore the values of the Suffragettes by planning to write our own historical narrative. Children have focused on using exclamation and question marks as well as accurate use of the past tense.
