Central idea: Celebrations can enhance the way we see the world.
We have commenced Module 2 with great enthusiasm, participating in various activities centered around celebrations. Our outdoor learning session with Mr. Townsend included a bonfire and s'mores, while our classroom activities involved creating mind maps to illustrate our knowledge of different celebrations.
We're uncovering the history behind Bonfire Night and the Gunpowder Plot, bringing it to life through dramatic freeze frames and creative captions.
In art we have been exploring Favianna Rodriguez's artwork, creating prints using fruits and vegetables, thinking carefully about how we can layer prints and creating repeating patterns.
In maths we have been looking at addition and subtraction. We have been thinking about what it means to add more or to subtract a number. We have been writing number sentences to demonstrate our knowledge of this.
Please ensure your child's school reading book is in their bag every day. Book change days are a Tuesday and Thursday.
