On Monday, we participated in a Remembrance Day assembly and a two minute silence. We would like to thank Reverend Nicky and Reverend Vicky for joining us and leading the opportunity for reflection. Thank you all for your generous donations for the Poppy Appeal, it is very much appreciated.
This week is Anti-bullying week and we have been speaking with the children in our assemblies about how important it is to be kind. We reinforced how to look out for others and the importance of letting a trusted adult know if something is happening to them or one of their friends.
Next Thursday, we will be celebrating Children in Need. This year we would like to invite the children to wear something spotty.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Mrs H Penning
The gates are open from 8:30 to 8:45 in the morning. Please can we remind all parents that the gates need to be closed promptly at 8:45 and all parents need to be offsite by this time. If you arrive closer to 8:45, your child is able to walk themselves to the classroom. This means that we can start the school day on time and that the site is secure. Thank you for your support with this.

Even among adults, it can be all too common to see disputes and differing opinions grow extremely heated, which is rarely helpful to anyone. When emotions run high, it can be easy to forget yourself and perhaps even say something you didn’t mean, hurting feelings or escalating the situation further.
For children, it’s just as important to avoid this kind of behaviour whenever possible; without the necessary guidance, however, they could struggle to identify any disrespectful behaviour, let alone recognise what they can do differently. This guide offers you expert advice on teaching children and young people to choose respect when interacting with their peers, helping to create an environment based on empathy and tolerance.
