Central idea: People communicate to share knowledge and experiences.
The children have started to consider how feelings and emotions are a method of communication. We have used the text 'The Colour Monster' to immerse the children into this inquiry and they have thought carefully about what makes them feel different emotions. We then learnt different makaton signs for some different emotions. Many of the children spoke about art, dance and music and how this makes them calm. To inspire the children further we looked at splatter art by Jackson Pollock and tried to recreate this.
Reminders:
Following our earlier message via MCAS, we wanted to remind you that all children will require a plain white T - shirt for Monday 2nd December. The T - shirt will be used as a canvas to print Adinkra patterns.
Please can all reading books and book mark be brought into school every Monday and Thursday so they can be changed.
