As we are sure you will agree, the children have produced some fantastic artwork as a part of our inquiry. Not only do the pieces above look great, but underneath the children have produced some fantastic writing which details each layer of the rainforest.
This week we have been working hard on our third line of inquiry: an inquiry into how the changing world can impact lives. We have been thinking specifically about deforestation and climate change, and the children have each produced a fantastic Google Site which has lots of information on demonstrating how much new knowledge they have gained.
Following on from our module 3 mock SATs, there are a couple of areas in maths that we feel it could benefit the children to revise at home as well as in school. If you could, please talk to the children about conversions, eg, cm in a metre, m in a km, etc. Also, the value of 100, eg, 25 is a quarter, 50 is half, 75 is 3 quarters, as this will help with their fractions, decimals and percentages learning.
