Central idea: The suitability to settle may be determined by people's knowledge of the Earth's geological features.
This week, we have rounded off our inquiry for this module by considering what our future settlements might look like, although only once we'd finished our considerate debate about whether it is better to live in a village or a city. For the future of the places which we inhabit, we researched what is currently already in place and being considered (such as green energy forms, sustainable buildings and less polluting forms of transport). To apply all we've learnt, our final step has been to plan how we can improve Marden to ensure it is ready for all the requirements and demands the future may bring.
