On Tuesday, we celebrated Safer Internet Day. This year's theme focused on scams and provided essential guidance on how best to protect oneself from such risks. Throughout the week, the children participated in various class activities aimed at exploring online safety. They learned about the importance of staying safe online and engaged in discussions about strategies to employ should they encounter anything that worries them. For further resources and guidance tailored for parents, I encourage you to visit the Safer Internet website: https://saferinternet.org.uk/guide-and-resource/parents-and-carers
On Wednesday the children had the opportunity to share their homework with their peers. It was wonderful to see how proud the children were of their work. I would like to say a big well done to all of the children for their hard work on this.
Thursday brought our much-anticipated Valentines disco, an event that was once again very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by students. I would like to express my gratitude to Mrs Rawling for her efforts in organising this event on behalf of the PTA.
I also wish to extend my sincere thanks to those parents who completed the recent parent survey. Your feedback is invaluable. We will being reviewing the feedback and will compile a 'you said, we will' document to share with you after half-term.
I would like to wish you all an enjoyable half term. We look forward to seeing you all when we return on Monday 24th February.

Dating apps have grown rapidly in popularity since their introduction, transforming the way many of us meet new people and form relationships. While these platforms are typically restricted to an audience of over-18s, there are still children and young people attempting to make use of them and exposing themselves to their risks – from online harassment to outright abuse.
As a parent or educator, it can be daunting to navigate this complex and ever-evolving landscape, and to know how best we can support and protect youngsters who are accessing dating apps. This guide breaks down the risks associated with these platforms and offers expert advice on how to safeguard children from such online safety concerns.
