Over the past couple of weeks, we have been delving into recent significant events in Syria that have shaped the country. The children took part in some incredibly thoughtful discussions about the impact these events would have had on people's human rights and reflected on how lucky we are in the UK. We used these feelings to create self-portraits, in the dotty style of Yayoi Kusama, with a focus on using colour to reflect feelings and moods.
We have been writing newspaper reports about a 'new' law which would allow children to work from the age of 4. As you can imagine, the children were not impressed with this and included some very opinionated quotes in their writing!
In Maths, we have focused on addition and subtraction by refining our use of the column method and using rounding to help us estimate our answers.
