Year 2    Learning Update

Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

It has been another busy and exciting week! We've had so much fun and the children continue to amaze us with their enthusiasm and dedication to learning. We continued our inquiry by thinking about our community and what this means to us. The children have then begun looking at Marden by exploring maps on Google Earth, locating routes to key amenities and thinking about all the people who help us.

In maths, we have been looking at number bonds to 10, and the relationship with numbers creating some fact families. We have also spent lots of time counting in our 2's, 5's and 10's.

In English, the children have been writing expanded noun phrases, time connectives and creating story maps to write their own narrative based on our core text 'Croc and Bird'.
