Year 6  Learning Update

Central idea: Conflict Shapes Society

The module has kicked off with a fascinating dive into our core text 'Letters From the Lighthouse'. The author, Emma Carroll, has woven an intriguing historical mystery set against the backdrop of World War II. We have started to unpack the concept of conflict, and are currently exploring its main causes. Over the next week we will inquire into how conflict arises.

We are heading towards our SATs assessment (week beginning Monday 12th May) and the children have been working hard revising their core skills, delving into content from their learning throughout Key Stage Two. To enable the children to come into school and feel relaxed during the assessment week,  we will be running the Year 6 breakfast club each morning from 7.45am. The children will be able to come into school and enjoy their breakfast with their friends enabling them to feel settled and relaxed, ready for the day ahead.
