Central idea: Our lifestyle can be influenced by choices

What a fabulous week children have enjoyed!  In maths we have been using our place value understanding to add and subtract ones, tens and hundreds, considering the changes that happen in the place value columns.  In writing we have started to look at using inverted commas to punctuate direct speech; the children have been writing pieces of narrative adding speech to their characters to add further detail.

On Wednesday we had the amazing opportunity to take the children up to Marden Sports Club, where we were able to try new skills of tennis and hockey. It was such a great opportunity to try something new, but also to work together  with great cooperation.  We were definitely all thoroughly exhausted after a whole morning of activity, but nothing that a good lunch couldn't sort out!  Our thanks to Marden Sports Club and the wonderful coaches who supported our morning.
