Meet the Directors

Mr. Ian Kenneally - Band Director

Mr. Kenneally is the Director of Bands at Marblehead High School where he teaches the MHS Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. He co-teaches MHS and MVMS Orchestra as well as the MVMS Concert Band and teaches several music electives such as music in film, guitar, piano, and many others. 

Mr. Kenneally received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2024 as a trumpet player. He worked as a middle school teacher for a year on the Cape, but has a passion working  with instrumental musicians. 

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Kenneally can often be found outside hiking, reading, or playing his guitar and banjo.
