Make sound decisions concerning the use of money. This is a practical, hands on application of personal finance. Students participate in the planning stages of financial success (setting goal, reviewing opportunity costs, examining career choices, initiating money management strategies, and reviewing purchasing strategies.) They also learn about banking and the importance of credit by making comparisons regarding the different types of financial institutional services, examining the cost of consumer credit, and evaluating housing alternatives. This course enables students to become wise earners, spenders and savers.
