Here is our Friday timetable for this week.
Think about where you need to be and when.
Are you organised with your instrument and folder?
You will need your KAIKORERO and WHAIWHAKAARO Learning Assets for this activity.
Listen carefully to the instructions that Miss McDonald reads. Hold the information that you hear in your head and then complete the instruction.
Let's go!
How can we build our knowledge around Fingerprints?
How can we bring our Kairangahau Learning Asset to this task?
What makes good note taking?
What information do we need to include?
What is the best way to record the main ideas?
Today we will be watching a clip around Fingerprints. We will be looking at our notetaking as we collect information from the video.
Please ask a buddy to test you on your spelling set.
Check your notebook first, remind yourself of those tricky words, check your current set and then have a test!
Earlier in the week you created a newspaper headline and article about this image in your ako whanau group.
I have printed a copy for each of you of your article. Your challenge is to reread and edit this newspaper report.
Have you met our success criteria?
Do you have correct punctuation?
Does your article make sense?
When you have recrafted your article, publish it on the template below.
We will be completing a learning asset challenge this afternoon.
Our major focus areas are Kaikorero, Mahi Tahi and Whaiwhakaaro.
You will be working in random groups (see the groupings to the left). So you will need to adapt to learning with different people.
Ready to find out what your challenge will be? Let's get creating!

If you are completing these reflections on a device, please make a copy and move this to your INQUIRY folder.
I also have paper copies as we won't have enough devices for everyone.

You will have ten minutes with your Ako Whanau Literacy group to complete your Newspaper report introduction from yesterday.
Yesterday we explored the reading text - DNA Talks Every Time.
It has lots of precise vocabulary in it.
At Level 3 we need to be using precise vocabulary in our writing.
Look through the text with your ako whanau group and collect some examples of precise vocabulary.
Go to the ABC Word Cloud website and create a word cloud with the precise vocabulary that you have collected. Please make sure to email me a copy of your group's word cloud.
Continue working on your narrative from Monday.
Is it a Level Three piece of writing?
How can you make it better than before?
