We are going to gather our first thinking, then after was have explored this question "What is a Scientist?" we will add our new discoveries.
What did we discover last week? What can we take forward into our writing?
We have a Writing Focus in our Literacy today. What is our PATHWAY focus, REACH focus and LEARNING ASSET focus?
Before we unpack narrative texts record your thinking around your FIRST response to this question.
In your Reciprocal Reading groups you will choose a text, read it, and unpack what makes it a narrative.

Complete the reflection sheet by selecting the smiley face that best describes your ability to show MAHI TAHI. Justify your thinking by writing down, using bullet points, the ways in which you show MAHI TAHI or the attributes you are focusing on to be even better.
Please swap word work for STEPS - remember two activities and one game!
Listen to the audio, read the instructions and complete this slide deck to show the topics that interest you and that you would like to find out more about.
This information will help us prepare for the Passion Projects which you will begin next week. Look carefully at the Learning Assets you will focus on across these Passion Projects, what will this look like for you?
Remember - what were the ingredients for a successful narrative? Hook ins, orientation (setting/characters), plot, conflict & resolution.
Remember - how will we paint a picture for the reader? Simile, action verbs, great sentence starters and using onomatopoeia.
