Hāpara Workspace

is the classroom workflow hub for delivering learning and giving all those apps, docs and links, that teachers use, a contextual home for learning. It is a collaborative and differentiated digital space in which teachers and learners can engage in meaningful explorations and projects, embark on individualised learning paths, and design individual and collective solutions and understandings.

Purpose:

The purpose for using Hāpara workspaces is that they form the classroom workflow hub for delivering learning. They are online, visible and accessible outside of the classroom and school hours.

For the students it means that they can access learning from all teachers from one central place (my student dashboard).

Requirements and Expectations:

It is a requirement that your workspaces are set to public and embedded on your class site. This is crucial to the visibility aspect of our Kaupapa.

Note: Even though your workspace will be set to public, it is possible to set individual resources to private.

It should also be understood that Student work and their grades is not made public when you do this.

Use a new workspace for each Unit, Topic or Achievement Standard.

NB - When using a Workspace from a previous year, always make a copy and use that copy (you can add, delete and edit) before assigning it to new students.  It is a good idea to put the year in the title otherwise you will have multiple Workspaces that appear to be the same.
