Sustainable Tayvallich
A movement of Tayvallich residents who are taking action to help make the community more sustainable.
Creating a sustainability plan for Tayvallich
In 2020 Tayvallich was invited by the charity Keep Scotland Beautiful to participate in the creation of a community-led Climate Action Plan. Tayvallich was one of only two communities invited to take part in this pilot project made possible by funding from the Scottish Government. The challenges posed by the changing climate may seem scary and overwhelming or remote and out of our hands. This project offers an exciting chance to imagine what it would be like if the community saw these challenges as an opportunity to make life in the village better for all.
Taking Action
Below are a series of actions happening or coming up in the community. These actions rely on community and individual enthusiasm to be carried out. If you would like to get involved, you can join an action that is already underway, or make a start on any of them. If there is something missing that you are passionate about working on, go for it!
The actions below are grouped by column into 6 themes. If you know of something happening that isn't captured on this page please add it by clicking on the (+) button in the appropriate column - or get in touch.
