Faculty teaching at any MaineHealth Orgination will need to create an account in Clinican Nexus and complete required instructor onboarding papework there for each rotation that they teaching.
Have you created your Clinician Nexus account? Earlier this summer, you received an email from Netty Provost inviting you to create a Clinician Nexus account.
Yes, I created my account: Go to ACTION STEP 2 on this page.
No, I haven't created my account:
Search your @maine email for the Clinician Nexus invitation email.
Open the email and follow the instructions to complete the registration process.
*IF the email link to create your account has expired please email Netty and she will resend it to you.
After your account is created, go to the Clinician Nexus website and log in.
Access your scheduled teaching rotation(s) in Clinician Nexus
Click Rotations from the left navigation menu.
You will see some "cards" or boxes under a heading "onboarding".
You may see multiple rotations if you have more than one MaineHealth hospital-affiliated clinical.
Click on a rotation.
Scroll down the page, and you'll see the following series of steps. Each step will tell you whether it is incomplete, complete, or pending verification.
Incomplete = you need to do this step
Complete = this step is done
Awaiting Verification = you submitted what you needed to do, and either the hospital or USM will certify its accuracy. Once it's certified, it will change to complete status, or we'll contact you if there is a problem.
Steps to complete include:
Upload your resume
Fill out the demographic application form
Fill out the MaineHealth employment status form
**Note: If there are any other forms listed, please complete them too. Sometimes the hospitals add things, and we don't know about them until they show up for students.
Once all steps are complete and/or verified, your rotation will automatically move into Ready status. This means you're all set to start the clinical and have finished what you needed to do in Clinician Nexus for this rotation.
