About Miss. Petrie

Hello! My name is Jade Petrie. In December 2022, I will be graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington with a B.S in Early Childhood Education, with a dual certification ages birth-five years old as well as grades kindergarten through third grade. I am so excited to see where this journey will lead me and I can't wait to welcome young learners into the classroom.

I am an empathetic educator who is very passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and inclusive classroom for all students. Outside of teaching, I like to stay very active. I enjoy running, sports, and spending time with friends and family.

My student teaching took place through the months of September to December 2022. For my student teaching I was placed at Fairfield Primary School in Fairfield, Maine in a Kindergarten classroom. Included in this website is all of the hard work and dedication that was put in during my placement. You will find my CFA (Contextual Factor Analysis) as well as my Teacher Work Sample and a portfolio that demonstrates proficiency with all eleven Maine Common Core Teaching Standards. Also included is my philosophy of education, resume, and letters of recommendation.
