Google Sheets

Google Sheets help us collect and disseminate data. They also work in conjunction with Google Forms. When working with sheets, it's important that we stay focused on making accessible documents. We need to consider our color contrast, font style and size, and headings.

If you have questions about best practices about using Google Sheets, please reach out to the ASU Team Chat (linked below).

Color Options

When considering colors for cells and fonts, be sure that you're using strong color contrast. UMA's color palette helps take some of the confusion out of the decision making. As the UMA Branding Guidelines explain, "the primary digital palette contains the primary UMA print palette, as well as two additional colors, a very lightly blue tinted white, and a darker neutral Wenge brown. These neutral tones work together with the print palette to create a vibrant, diverse set of color choices for UMA’s digital spaces that can easily combine while still being WCAG AA contrast compliant."
