Biodiversity

The Sustainable Agriculture Project (SAP) is a collaborative farming project off the GVSU's Allendale campus, with a focus on sustainability, community, and education. Our project focuses on increasing the biodiversity of the SAP by increasing the amount of native pollinators by introducing more native vegetation and using that native vegetation to create a pollinator garden, as well as introducing a few pollinator support methods that could be done at the SAP.

This project is a great way to increase community education about native pollinators and their importance, especially considering the SAP is a piece of land surrounded by a large amount of row-crop farms, such as soybean and corn, which do not have much value to pollinators.

Both map and satellite views of the SAP provide insight into the land use around it, it's location compared to GVSU, and the layout of the SAP.
