These works are a vision of climate change created to invoke emotion and inspire action. Canva is used to put the storyboard of TikToks together, design and format the poster, and a meme maker is used to create two memes. Each created piece of media works together to display our version of climate change. Every component of our project was made with bright, vibrant colors and simple, easy-to-understand graphics. In the TikTok videos we produced, exaggerated facial expressions and words were used to express the point we are trying to make or the emotions we feel. Our project is meant to get people to think about climate change and their own actions that contribute to global impacts. Our poster was created with the intention of getting the viewers to think about what they see online and how they evaluate it. In today’s world, much of the media we see bends the truth. Should you believe something since it’s online or because it’s posted by a professional or company? We created our memes in an attempt to make our viewers laugh while taking in our ideas at the same time. We created our TikTok's in order to spread awareness and help people gain a better understanding of the causes and impacts of climate change. Viewers can relate to our work as we use humor and relatable themes in our piece. We use ideas, such as overconsumption, that are common things people deal with every day. Our concerns that we express through our project include the health of our planet and the negative impact human activity has on it. We need people to see this as important since our planet could drastically change due to our activity, negatively impacting us. Hopefully, after viewing our piece, viewers will leave with newfound inspiration to learn more or to take action against climate change.
