Comprehensive Portfolio Overview
The Comprehensive Portfolio is an exit requirement for all students in the gifted program.
You will begin building your portfolio at the beginning of your program (instructions included below) and finalize and submit the completed portfolio towards the end of your program. The Comprehensive Portfolio will be submitted in the Spring and Fall semesters while you are taking the SPED 859 course. The portfolio will consist of the following four sections:
Introduction of Yourself
Why? Program Philosophy & Goals
Who? Definition & Identification Process
What, Where, When? Instruction/Curriculum
Collect artifacts you have developed throughout the gifted program. There are three different sections that include 2-3 artifacts each.
You will use Google Sites (https://sites.google.com/) to create your comprehensive portfolio. There will be three different menus on your portfolio. Please introduce yourself on the main page. Make sure the evaluators can access all artifacts on the portfolio when evaluating (not restricted links).
*Important: As Google sites are open to the public, you will double-check whether the artifacts contain identifiable information (e.g., name, signature) of people you have worked with for the assignments. Please delete the information if there is any. Also, you must include the final versions of your artifacts that incorporate instructor feedback throughout the program. Make your artifacts accessible. If you attach any Google docs on the Google site, you must ensure that other people can access them.
Once you have organized your portfolio, you will work with your peers to provide a peer review during the course.
* If you have any questions about the comprehensive portfolio, email Dr. Brooke Moore (brooke.moore@fhsu.edu).
