Program Information

Our High Incidence, Low Incidence, and Gifted Special Education programs are NOT licensure programs. If you want to teach special education in the state of Kansas, you will need to have an existing, valid teaching license. Completion of this program will grant you a Full Endorsement in High Incidence Special Education (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade), Low Incidence Special Education (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade), or Gifted Special Education (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade), depending on your program of study. This full endorsement will then be added to your existing valid teaching license.

Our High Incidence - Limited Residency Licensure program will grant you an initial, full license to teach Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade special education.

Our Low Incidence - Limited Residency Licensure program will grant you an initial, full license to teach Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade special education.
