On Wednesday, September 23rd, the E-sports team was fighting hard in their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament in Mr. Satterfield’s room. Marely Steele, Conner Hall and Kain Saunders practiced a lot before the match and fought as hard as they could to win.
First up was Conner, who played as Cloud, with his opponent playing as Megaman. The round was off to a scary start with the opposing team having the upper hand. Conner was laser-focused, his gaze glued to the screen in front of him as his fingers rapidly pressed the buttons on his controller. But even with his intense focus, he ended up losing both rounds. However, the game was far from over, there were still two more players left to turn things around.
Next up was Kain who played as Ridley to face King K. Rool. Tension filled the air as Kain lost his first life when he got thrown off the map by King K. Rool. He looked for ways to break through his opponent’s defenses, though he was unable to secure a win and lost both matches. Things weren’t over yet, though, as the team depended on its final player, Marely.
With the team’s trust behind them, Marely stepped up as Incineroar against Min Min. At first, it seemed like the team was going to win with the opponent getting knocked out of the stage with only one life left. However, the tables quickly turned as Marely also had one life left. Tension quickly filled the air as Marley fought hard. Although Marely lost both rounds, his performance showed determination and that the match could’ve gone either way. The team may not have taken the victory this match, though with enough practice, they might win the next one.
