MATH 90+90S Quick Start Guide

Welcome, students. My name is Mike Greenberg, and I'll be your instructor for MATH 90/90S.

Please take a moment to view important course dates and details.

This course is taught almost entirely asynchronously. This means that we will not be meeting regularly over Zoom. Instead, the material is built into Canvas through videos I've created, and you will go through the material on your own time. Each week has six lessons for you to go through, along with six homework assignments. There is also a discussion assignment each week, as well as a quiz or a test. You will need to make a schedule for yourself to make sure that you're getting through all of the work before the deadlines.

We will have an in-person final exam during finals week. This is the only in-person class meeting, and it is required. Students who do not take the in-person final exam will fail the course. Please do not sign up for the course unless you are certain that you can take the in-person final exam.

Please watch the welcome video below for an explanation of how the course is organized and what the expectations will be.

There are plenty of other materials below, including a graphic organizer that explains how a typical week in the class will look, some information about signing up for WebAssign, and a sample discussion page so you can see how the discussions will look:
