HLTH 91J is a 1.0-unit course. Linguistic, cultural, and systemic barriers impede the health of individuals and can be costly to society at large. This course provides skills and strategies to advance language justice and equip monolingual and multilingual health workers to work cross-culturally by providing services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate, and through advocacy that promotes systemic changes, empowering self and clients.
This course will be offered online via Zoom videoconferencing.
