(Student Producer | 30 person team | 2026)Â
Fuse is a yearly tech expo of highly curated student games, animations, game art, and experiences all showcased at the Peoria Riverfront museum. During the event, projects are showcased to over a thousand attendees the course of 2 days.
For Fuse 2026 I acted as the Student Producer. I managed all the teams working to get the event running, interviewed about the event to new sources, and ensured everything ran as intended day of.
This was my first time doing event production proper, and I jumped in the deep end all things considered. I worked to ensure the logistics, art, web, liaison, PR, and social media teams all understood what they had to do and finished their tasks on time. Every day of production I'd be making Jira tickets, talking to the teams, ensuring blockers removed, and planning out the run of the show. I was the top of command in terms of ensuring the Fuse ran as it was supposed to. I also had to often do interviews about the event with local news sources. It was a new experience to interview as such but my experience with production and people in general allowed me to do them well. I also worked with local buissnesses to get the physical decorations we needed for the show. During the day of show proper, I was ensuring all projects were running smoothly and any sudden issues were resolved hastily. We ended the event with over a thousand people having attended in total.
