These classes are open to 10th-12th graders but priority is given to 12th, then 11th, then 10th graders. All classes are 1 semester and .5 credits.
Learn to manage your personal financial affairs through real life applications. Areas of study include investing, banking, taxes, credit, acquiring insurance and loans, budgeting, and successful employment skills. Walk away from this class with the WISE Financial Literacy Certification.
Participate in our very own LHS Virtual Personal Finance. The same curriculum from our in person Personal Finance class offered asynchronously online. You will have a study hall in your schedule and be able to complete your work during that time or at your own convenience. Great for students who thrive in virtual or whose work schedules make having 7 periods in a day difficult (can have approved activity during the study hall). LHS teacher available to support you as you continue through the course.
Prepare yourself for a life after high school. Personal growth, financial literacy, legal responsibilities, protective behaviors--many topics to make your transition to the real world easier.
